“Establishment of National Institute of Ayurveda in Karnataka”
1131 Dr. Dharmasthala Veerendra Heggade:
Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state:
(a) whether Government has any active plans to establish a National Institute of Ayurvedic
Medicine in Karnataka or a Regional Ayurveda Research Centre at Dakshina Kannada/Udupi
in Karnataka; and
(b) if so, the details thereof?

(a)&(b) There is one Central Ayurveda Research Institute already operational at Bengaluru in
the State of Karnataka. Further, at present, there is no active plan to establish a National
Institute of Ayurvedic Medicine in Karnataka or a Regional Ayurveda Research Centre
at Dakshina Kannada / Udupi in Karnataka.
