GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF AYUSH LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 968 FOR 24.07.2026 Establishment of National Level Research and Training Yoga Institutes 968. Shri Darshan Singh Choudhary: Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state: (a) whether there is ample potential for establishing a national-level research and training institute in the field of Yoga, Naturopathy and holistic health services in the Hoshangabad- Narsinghpur Parliamentary Constituency; (b) whether any proposal has been received by or is under consideration by the Government regarding the establishment of a premier research institute (Centre of Excellence/National Institute) for Yoga and Naturopathy in the said Parliamentary Constituency, if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the Government is considering to provide necessary financial and technical assistance for conducting research, clinical services, education, training, Panchakarma, Naturopathy, Yoga therapy and public awareness programmes in this institute; (d) if so, the details thereof, along with the proposed action plan, estimated cost, timeline and expected benefits; and (e) if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) & (b) At present, there is no national-level research and training Institute in the field of Yoga, Naturopathy and holistic health services in the Hoshangabad–Narsinghpur Parliamentary Constituency and no proposal has been received in the Ministry of Ayush for the establishment of a premier Research Institute (Centre of Excellence/National Institute) for Yoga and Naturopathy in the said Parliamentary Constituency. (c) to (e) Does not arise in view of point no.(a) & (b) above. *** 1
