Will the Minister of SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP be pleased
to state:-
(a) the number of Skill Development Centres (SDCs) established in Peddapalli,
Telangana, under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) since its inception
along with the sectors covered and their operational status;
(b) the details of the total funds allocated and utilised under PMKVY in Peddapalli since
its inception, and whether the scheme has been effective in improving youth employability in
rural areas;
(c) the specific job roles and training modules offered in Peddapalli under PMKVY and the
number of youths trained and placed in jobs, year-wise;
(d) whether any steps have been taken to align the training programmes with local
industry needs, particularly in the sectors like agriculture, mining, IT, textiles, and
manufacturing, and if so, the outcomes achieved; and
(e) the monitoring mechanism in place to assess the quality and impact of PMKVY centres
in Telangana?

(a) Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is implementing its
flagship Scheme Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) since 2015. Under PMKVY,
skill training is imparted through Short Term Training (STT) and Re-skilling and Up-skilling
through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to youth across the country.
Under PMKVY, as on 30.06.2025, a total of 16 training centres have been empanelled in
Peddapalli district of Telangana since its inception. However, at present there is no
operational centre under PMKVY 4.0 in Peddapalli.The details of sectors covered in Peddapalli district of Telangana, is given at Annexure – I.
(b) There is no provision for district-wise fund allocation under PMKVY. However, as on
30.06.2025, a total amount of ₹1.81 crore has been utilized in Peddapalli since the inception
of the Scheme.
Under PMKVY scheme, placements were tracked in the Short-Term Training (STT)
component in the first three versions of the Scheme which are PMKVY 1.0, PMKVY 2.0 and
PMKVY 3.0 implemented from FY 2015-16 to FY 2021-22. Under PMKVY 4.0 which is under
implementation since FY 2022-23, the focus is to empower our trained candidates to choose
their varied career path and they are suitably oriented for the same. In the district of
Peddapalli, a total of 229 candidates have been reported placed under the Scheme.
(c) The details of specific job roles and training modules in Peddapalli district of Telangana
under PMKVY, as on 30.06.2025, are given at Annexure – II
The details of year-wise number of youths trained and placed in job in Peddapalli district of
Telangana under PMKVY, as on 30.06.2025, are given at Annexure – III.
(d) Under PMKVY, the Government has taken several steps to align training programmes
with local industry needs, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, mining, IT, textiles, and
manufacturing. These include demand mapping through skill gap studies, District Skill
Development Plans (DSDPs), and active collaboration with Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) to
design industry-relevant training. Job roles are aligned with the National Skills Qualification
Framework (NSQF), and introduction of On-the-Job Training (OJT) for practical exposure
have been undertaken. These efforts have enhanced the relevance of training, improved
industry participation, and strengthened employment outcomes for youth. The Sector-wise
number of candidates trained/ oriented have been provided in Annexure-II.
(e) Under PMKVY 4.0, training is imparted through training institutes having standard
infrastructure that meets the requisite norms of Accreditation and Affiliation (A&A) standards
prescribed by the Awarding Bodies. Accreditation and affiliation of training centres ensures
compliance to standardized infrastructural requirements, tool and equipment, etc.Annexure-I
