be pleased to state :
(a) whether any proposal has been received from the Government of Kerala under the PM MITRA (Prime Minister Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel) Scheme for the establishment of a textile park;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the present status of the proposal;
(c) the total funds allocated, released and utilized so far under each PM MITRA Park established in the country;
(d) the details of private companies or industry partners involved in the implementation of the PM MITRA Parks; and
(e) the total amount of funds or investments contributed by such private entities under this scheme? उत्तर ANSWER वस्त्र राज् य मंत्री (श्री पबित्र मार्घरे रटा) THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR TEXTILES (SHRI PABITRA MARGHERITA)
(a) & (b): With a view to attract investment, boost employment generation and position Indian textile sector strongly in the global market, the Government has approved setting up of 7 (Seven) PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks in Greenfield/Brownfield sites with world class infrastructure including plug and play facility with an outlay of Rs. 4,445 Cr for a period of 2021- 22 to 2027-28.
Ministry received 18 proposals from 13 states for setting up Mega Textile Parks and has finalised 7 sites for setting up of PM MITRA Parks. The selected sites are Tamil Nadu (Virudhnagar), Telangana
(Warangal), Gujarat (Navsari), Karnataka (Kalaburagi), Madhya Pradesh (Dhar), Uttar Pradesh
(Lucknow) and Maharashtra (Amravati).
No proposal was received from the Government of Kerala for setting up of PM MITRA Park.
(c): A total of Rs. 160 Cr. has been sanctioned as Development Capita Support (DCS) under the PM MITRA Park Scheme to 4 PM MITRA Parks viz Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra so far.(d) & (e): Leading national and international textile manufacturers have shown interest in PMMITRA Parks. The details of investment received/grounded/MoUs signed under the PM MITRA
