Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a whether the Government has any specific scheme for skilling of tribal youths and if so,
the details thereof;
(b) the funds allocated for training and skilling of tribal youths during the last five years,
State- wise; and
(c) whether the Government has any schemes to facilitate the employment of tribal youths
in Multi-National Companies (MNCs) and if so, the details thereof?

(a) & (b) The Ministry of Tribal Affairs provides financial assistance to States / UTs for
setting up of Van Dhan Vikas Kendras (VDVKs) under Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Vikas
Mission (PMJVM) and Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adiwasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-
JANMAN) schemes for value addition of Minor Forest Produce (MFP) / non-MFPs.
Training and capacity building / skilling of members associated with these VDVKs is an
integral part of the scheme. So far, a total of 4624 VDVKs have been sanctioned across
the country, associating 12.68 Lakhs members, including tribal youths. The State-wise
funds sanctioned for establishment of VDVKs are given at Annexure.
(c) The Ministry has no specific scheme to facilitate the employment of tribal youths in
