Will the Minister of FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) the number of micro food processing enterprises targeted to be benefitted under the
Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME)
Scheme through credit-linked subsidy during the financial year 2025-26 including the
specific targets for Karnataka and Dakshina Kannada district;
(b) the number of applications received, loans sanctioned and disbursed thereunder as on
June 2025, State-wise specifically in Karnataka and Dakshina Kannada;
(c) whether any fisheries-based or marine product processing enterprises in Dakshina
Kannada have been supported under the PMFME Scheme and if so, the details thereof;
and
(d) the specific provisions or components there under to promote value addition, storage or
export of fish and seafood products by micro enterprises in coastal districts like
Dakshina Kannada?

(a): 1,00,000 Micro food processing enterprises have been targeted to provide support/ benefit
under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME)
Scheme through credit-linked subsidy during the financial year 2025-26 out of which target of
4,000 has been allocated to the State of Karnataka. Ministry does not allocate district-wise targets
under the scheme.
(b): Under the PMFME Scheme, 3,76,289 applications have been submitted, 1,44,517 loans
sanctioned and 1,16,557 loans disbursed under the Credit Linked Subsidy across the country as
on 30th June 2025. Out of which 13,672 applications have been submitted, 6,739 loans sanctioned
and 6,080 loans disbursed for Karnataka and 371 applications have been submitted, 262 loans
sanctioned and 242 loans disbursed for Dakshina Kannada district. The State-wise details are at
Annexure.
(c) & (d): Setting up / up-gradation of micro fish processing and value addition units are covered
under PMFME scheme for availing support. Marine Products have been approved as ODOP for
the Dakshina Kannada. 14 loans have been sanctioned for credit linked subsidy to fish and
seafood products in the district of Dakshina Kannada with approved subsidy of Rs. 0.29 Crores
as on 30th June 2025 under the Scheme. The capital subsidy support is provided to the micro food
processing enterprises for purchase of plant and machinery and technical civil work to promote
value addition, storage or export of fish and seafood products.
