Will the Minister of FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) the number of mega food parks and cold chain projects approved or sanctioned by the
Government under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) along with the
amount of funds spent thereunder, State-wise including Maharashtra;
(b) the details of various projects and sub-schemes implemented under the said scheme,
State-wise including Parbhani and Washim-Yavatmal districts of Maharashtra;
(c) whether any project has been approved under the above scheme in the said districts of
Maharashtra, if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether the said scheme has been effective and helpful in ensuring remunerative prices
to farmers for their crops and in reducing wastage of agricultural produce, if so the details
thereof;
(e) the impact of the said scheme across the country particularly in the said districts; and;
(f) the details of the achievements/implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada
Yojana in Maharashtra including Washim-Yavatmal and Parbhani Parliamentary
Constituencies along with the jobs created in the said region thereunder during the last five
years?

(a) The number of mega food parks and cold chain projects approved under Pradhan Mantri
Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) as on 31.12.2025, along with the funds spent, State-wise
including Maharashtra are at Annexure-1.
(b) The State-wise details of various projects under component schemes of PMKSY, State-
wise, including Parbhani and Washim-Yavatmal districts of Maharashtra are at Annexure-2.
(c) Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) is a Central Sector demand driven
scheme and the funds are not allocated/sanctioned/released State-wise under any of the
component schemes of PMKSY. The applications are invited through Expression of Interest
(EoI) from all over India including Parbhani and Washim-Yavatmal districts of Maharashtra.
Details of projects approved in Parbhani and Washim-Yavatmal districts of Maharashtra are at
Annexure-3.
(d) & (e) PMKSY scheme aims at creation of modern infrastructure with efficient supply
chain management from farm gate to retail outlets which includes processing, storage,transportation, etc., thereby helping in providing better returns to farmers. With Creation of
Food Processing Infrastructure, the demand for farm produce which is raw material for Food
Processing industries increases leading to better prices to farmers and increasing farm gate
profitability. As on 31.12.2025, under various component schemes of PMKSY, 1607 no. of
projects have been approved, out of which 1196 projects have been completed benefitting
3610782 number of farmers in the country and 6800 no. of farmers in Parbhani and Washim-
Yavatmal districts. These completed 1196 projects have created a processing and preservation
capacity of 274.81 Lakh Metric Tonnes (LMT)/Annum and accordingly, wastage has been
reduced as per the capacity created by these completed projects
(f) The details of PMKSY scheme in the state of Maharashtra are at Annexure-4. During
the last five years 55383 no. of employment has been generated in the state of Maharashtra
under PMKSY.
