Parliament Question: Food Processing Units under Various Schemes

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 759 ANSWERED ON 23RD JULY, 2026 FOOD PROCESSING UNITS UNDER VARIOUS SCHEMES 759. SHRI RAMASAHAYAM RAGHURAM REDDY: Will the Minister of FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES be pleased to state: (a) the number of food processing units sanctioned, completed and operational under various Central schemes during the last five years, State-wise; (b) the funds allocated, released and utilized for these schemes; and (c) the reasons for delay in completion of pending projects? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES (SHRI RAVNEET SINGH) (a) to (c): In order to promote and ensure overall development of Food Processing Industries, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has been incentivizing setting up/ expansion of related infrastructure, through its two Central Sector Schemes viz. Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY), Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI) and a Centrally sponsored PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme across the country. The details of approved and operational/ completed projects under schemes of MoFPI from 2021-22 to 2025-26 is placed at Annexure-I. Year-wise total allocation & funds utilized under PMKSY, PLISFPI & PMFME from 2021-22 to 2025-26 across the country are given at Annexure-II.
