In response to Unstarred Question No. 3096, answered on December 18, 2025, regarding funds allocated and utilized under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) in Karur, the Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Shri Ravneet Singh, stated the following. The Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme is demand-driven, and funds are not released district-wise. However, a total of Rs. 196.02 crore has been released/allocated to the State of Tamil Nadu in the last three years: Rs. 24.02 crore in 2022-23, Rs. 72.00 crore in 2023-24, and Rs. 100.00 crore in 2024-25. Under the PMFME scheme, a credit-linked subsidy of 35% of the eligible project cost, up to a maximum of Rs. 3 crore, is provided to organizations such as Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs), Cooperatives, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and government agencies for establishing common infrastructure, including cold storage. One common infrastructure facility project related to dairy processing has been sanctioned in Karur District of Tamil Nadu under the PMFME scheme, with a total project cost of Rs. 241 Lakh. Sanctioned projects under the scheme are formalized after completion.

(a) the details of the funds allocated, disbursed and utilized under the Pradhan Mantri
Formalisation of Micro Food Enterprises scheme in Karur district of the State of Tamil
Nadu during the last three years; and
(b) whether the Union Government has any plan for the formalisation of cold storage under
the said scheme in Karur district in the State of Tamil Nadu and if so, the details thereof?

(a): Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) is a
demand driven scheme and funds are not released district-wise. However, Centre Share of Rs.
196.02 crore has been released/ allocated in the last three years to the State of Tamil Nadu for
implementation of various components of the Scheme. The year-wise details are as under:
