GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 3016 ANSWERED ON 18TH DECEMBER, 2025 FUNDS ALLOCATED TO PUNJAB UNDER FOOD PROCESSING SCHEMES 3016. SHRI MALVINDER SINGH KANG: Will the Minister of FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES be pleased to state: (a) the total funds allocated to the State of Punjab by Union Government under food processing schemes during the last three financial years; (b) the status of utilisation of these funds, scheme-wise; and (c) whether the Government has identified any bottlenecks affecting fund utilisation under the schemes, if so, the details thereof and the measures taken by the Government in this regard? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES (SHRI RAVNEET SINGH) (a) to (c): Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing two Central Sector Schemes namely Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) and Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI). Further, a Centrally sponsored PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme is also being implemented by MoFPI. All these 3 schemes are being implemented by MoFPI across the country including Punjab. State/UT-wise allocation of funds are not made under PMKSY and PLISFPI. However, under PMKSY, MoFPI has approved 61 projects with total project cost of Rs 1557.22 crores and approved grant-in-aid of Rs 418.91 crores in the State of Punjab till 31.10.2025. Under PLISFPI, MoFPI has approved proposals at 9 locations with committed investment of Rs 128.86 crores in the State of Punjab till 31.10.2025. Under PMFME Scheme, 3021 micro food processing enterprises have been approved with subsidy of Rs 259.23 crores for assistance in the State of Punjab till 31.10.2025.
