(a) the details of funds allocated and released by the Government for education from
KG to PG in Telangana including under the PM Shri Scheme, district-wise; and
(b) the other initiatives taken by the Government in the regard?

(a) & (b): As per information received from the Government of Telangana, details of
funds allocated and released district-wise under Samagra Shiksha and PM SHRI are
given at Annexure–I and Annexure–II respectively.
Government of India is implementing Centrally Sponsored Scheme ‘Samagra
Shiksha’ since 2018-19. Samagra Shiksha envisages school education as a
continuum from pre-school to senior secondary level and aims to ensure inclusive and
equitable quality education at all levels. Lump sum financial assistance is provided to
States/UTs to improve school infrastructure. Under PM SHRI scheme, schools are
developed as exemplar schools to showcase the implementation of various
components of National Education Policy 2020 and also provide benchmark /
leadership to other schools in the neighborhood.
Further, Government of India releases block grant to University Grants
Commission (UGC) under ‘Grants to Central Universities’ which in turn allocates fund
to individual Central Universities (CUs), based on their requirements, utilization of fund
in previous years etc. Details of funds allocated and released during 2024-25 by UGC
to University of Hyderabad (UoH), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU),English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) & Sammakka Sarakka Central
Tribal University (SSCTU) are given below: -

Further, as informed by the State, following Programs / Schemes are implemented by
State Government of Telangana: -
i. The State Government has implemented free electricity to all
Government schools for ensuring uninterrupted functioning of classrooms and
digital infrastructure and easing their financial burden.
ii. Amma Adarsha Pathashala Committees (AAPCs) have strengthened
community ownership and transparency in school operations, since June 2024.
AAPCs have completed 58,632 infrastructure maintenance works worth
Rs.642.10 crore. Further, the school facility maintenance is also entrusted to
AAPCs, since June 2024, by covering sanitation, classroom maintenance and
upkeep of school, resulting in improved parent–school engagement and
strengthened accountability.
