with the reasons therefor?
ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR HEAVY INDUSTRIES
(SHRI BHUPATHIRAJU SRINIVASA VARMA)
(a): The details of funds (in Rupees) allocated and utilized under the PM E-DRIVE scheme
as of February 28, 2026 announced during the Budget 2025-26 are as under : -
Sl. No. Head BE FY RE FY Actual Actual Expendit
2025-26 2025-26 Expenditure till ure as % Share
20.03.2026 of RE 2025-26
1 Demand Incentive 1,651 1129.85 916.06 81%
2 Grants for creation 2,324 150 0 0%
of capital assets
3 Admin Expenses 25 20.15 15.36 76%
Total 4,000 1,300 931.42 72%
(b): The allocation for FY 2026-27 is ₹1,500 crore, which is about 115% of the Revised Estimates
(RE) for FY 2025-26 (₹1,300 crore) and 38% of the Budget Estimates (BE) for FY 2025-26 (₹4,000
crore).
The Scheme has been extended up to 31.03.2028. The apparent reduction in allocation is
primarily on account of the milestone-based disbursement mechanism for grants. Accordingly, the
budget provision for FY 2026–27 is assessed to be adequate for effective implementation of the Scheme.
