(c) the number of schools targeted for upgradation as PM-SHRI Schools in the country during the
current financial year and the State/UT-wise allocation made therefor?

(a): The centrally sponsored scheme of PM SHRI was approved by Cabinet on 7th September,
2022. Subsequent to the approval, the details of funds allocated, released and utilized under the PM
SHRI scheme during FY 2023-24, FY 2024-25 and FY 2025-26 State/UT-wise is attached as
Annexure-I.
(b): The number of schools taken up for upgradation as PM SHRI schools under PM SHRI
scheme, State/UT and year-wise is attached as Annexure-II.
(c): Under the PM SHRI scheme, a total of 571 PM SHRI schools have been selected in the
current financial year. The State/UT-wise number of schools selected as PM SHRI schools in the
current financial year is attached as Annexure-III.
