SHRI B Y RAGHAVENDRA: Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state: (a) the total number of registered users, enrolled learners and candidates successfully trained under the Future Skills PRIME programme in Karnataka, year and district-wise; (b) the list of tier-2 and tier-3 cities in Karnataka where the programme is being actively implemented; (c) the list of academic institutions, training partners and corporate collaborators from Karnataka engaged in the implementation of the programme; and (d) whether any industry tie-ups or placement partnerships have been facilitated under Future Skills PRIME programme in Karnataka and if so, the number of youth placed through such initiatives, district- wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SHRI JITIN PRASADA) (a) and (b): FutureSkills PRIME programme is a collaborative initiative of MeitY and National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) aimed at making India a cutting-edge digital talent nation. Key features are: • Skilling, reskilling, and upskilling in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, IoTs, Cyber Security, Blockchain, AR/VR, etc. • Courses are developed in the consultation with industry to align with actual employment needs • Portal can be accessed anytime-anywhere to earn skill certificates in line with their aptitude and aspirations • Accessible online at https://futureskillsprime.in/ • So far, more than 26.20 Lakh candidates have registered out of which 16.65 lakh candidates have enrolled/trained in various courses. • In the State of Karnataka, a total of 1.75 lakh+ candidates have enrolled/trained in various courses out of which around 60% candidates are from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The year-wise and district wise details for the State of Karnataka are placed at Annexure I. • (c): IT/ITeS SSC-NASSCOM (Sector Skills Council) has signed MoUs with more than 30 academic institutions/universities in Karnataka for adoption of FutureSkills PRIME courses into academic curricula.
