GLASS FACTORY IN UTTAR PRADESH

Will the Minister of HEAVY INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) the details of current status of preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for revival of the
glass factory located at Bargarh in Chitrakoot district;
(b) the details of funds allocated and expenditure made by the Uttar Pradesh State Mineral
Development Corporation (UPSMDC) for revival of the said factory;
(c) whether the Government has any proposal and timeline for initiating the tender process for
participation of the private sector, if so, the details thereof;
(d) the targeted timeline framed by the Government for making the factory operational again and the
number of employment opportunities likely to be generated therefrom; and
(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): Since Industry is a State Subject as per the Seventh Schedule to the Constitution of India, the
Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) does not maintain any centralized data relating to setting
up/revival of heavy industries in any part of the Country including Bargarh in Chitrakoot district, Uttar
Pradesh.
(b) to (e): Does not arise.
