Dr. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar: Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state: (a) the number of children availing the benefits of primary education in the country through government schools; (b) the number of schools being run in pucca buildings in the country; (c) the number of schools having fully functional toilets in the country along with such schools having of separate fully functional toilets for girls and boys; and (d) the number of schools having uninterrupted electricity supply along with the number of schools having uninterrupted potable water supply in the country? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (SHRI JAYANT CHAUDHARY) (a) : The Department of School Education and Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education has developed the Unified District Information System for Education Plus (UDISE+) system to record data on indicators of school education provided by all the States and Union Territories. As per UDISE+ 2024- 25, number of children enrolled in primary education in government schools in the country are 5,70,50,360. (b) : As per UDISE+ 2024-25, total number of schools being run in pucca buildings in the country are 13,71,197. (c) : As per UDISE+ 2024-25, the percentage of schools having fully functional girl’s toilets and boy’s toilets facility in the country are 94.0 and 92.4 respectively. (d) : As per UDISE+ 2024-25, the percentage of schools having electricity connections and drinking water facility in the country are 93.6 and 99.3 respectively. ******
