SHRI SELVAM G: SHRI C N ANNADURAI: SHRI NAVASKANI K: Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state: (a) the number of projects supported under the Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY) in the State of Tamil Nadu during the last five years, district and sector-wise; (b) the current status of implementation of each project as completed, ongoing or pending and the reasons for delay; (c) the training programmes, technology support or marketing assistance provided under the Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY) in the State of Tamil Nadu, sector-wise; (d) whether the scheme has contributed to employment generation and income enhancement in rural areas of Tamil Nadu and if so, the details thereof; (e) whether any training centres, Common Facility Centres (CFCs) or rural technology hubs have been established in Tamil Nadu under the scheme and if so, the details thereof; (f) whether the Government proposes to expand the Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY) in aspirational districts and backward blocks of the State of Tamil Nadu and if so, the timeline and implementation plan thereof; and (g) the steps taken to promote traditional village industries and support rural artisans in the State of Tamil Nadu under this scheme? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a) and (b): Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY) is an artisan centric programme rather than project- based. Under GVY, KVIC provides training toolkits and handholding support to rural and traditional artisans under verticals of village industries like Mineral Based Industry (MBI), Agro Based and Food Processing Industry (ABFPI), Wellness and Cosmetic Industry (WCI), Handmade Paper, Leather and Plastic Industry (HPLPI), Rural Engineering and New Technology Industry (RENTI) and Service Industry. KVIC also provides marketing support through showcasing the village industries products of GVY in the Sales outlets and exhibitions. (c): The details of training programmes verticals-wise number of beneficiaries benefited under GVY in the State of Tamil Nadu during the 2024-25 year is given at Annexure-I.: 2 : (d): The Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY) has played a pivotal role in generating employment opportunities in rural areas. The Evalution Study report Conducted by KVIC through third party agency on the Kumhar Sashaktikaran Programme has shown an increase of average annual income of artisans by more than 35 percent across all six zones of KVIC and the Honey Mission has shown an increase in average annual income of beekeepers by more than 30 percent across all six zones of KVIC. (e): KVIC is implementing training programs through the following training centres/training partners in Tamil Nadu State, details are as under: (i) Central Palmgur and Palm Products Institute (CPPPI), Khadi and Village Industries Commission ,Chennai -600051 (ii) Khadi Gramodyog Vidyalaya, Tamil Nadu Sarvodaya Sangh, Dist: Tirupur, Post: Veerapandi-641605 (iii) Voluntary Association for People Service, 39, Besant Road, Vhokkikulam, Madurai, Tamil Nadu-625002 (iv) South Indian Multi –State Agriculture Coop Soc. Ltd. Town hall Campus, Near Old Bus Stand, Vellore (f): Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY) is being implemented on pan India basis including aspirational districts and backward blocks of the state of Tamil Nadu. At the time of identification of beneficiaries, special focus is being given on the backward areas and aspirational districts. (g): Under GVY, KVIC provides training toolkits and handholding support to rural and traditional artisans under verticals of village industries like Mineral Based Industry (MBI), Agro Based and Food Processing Industry (ABFPI), Wellness and Cosmetic Industry (WCI), Handmade Paper, Leather and Plastic Industry (HPLPI), Rural Engineering and New Technology Industry (RENTI) and Service Industry across the country including Tamil Nadu State.
