2982. SHRI VAMSI KRISHNA GADDAM:
Will the Minister of COMMUNICATION be pleased to state:
(a) the specific allocation from the Ministry's increased budget of 21,936 crores in 2024-25 for
establishing high-speed internet connectivity in rural areas of Peddapalli Lok Sabha Constituency
under the Digital India Programme;
(b) the progress of BharatNet Phase III implementation in Peddapalli district to connect gram
panchayats with optical fiber networks, considering the constituency's industrial requirements and
coal mining operations;
(c) the details of establishment of Common Service Centres and digital literacy training
programmes in coal mining affected villages of Peddapalli to bridge the digital divide among
industrial workers and their families; and
(d) the specific measures taken by the Government to ensure reliable mobile network coverage
in underground coal mining areas of Peddapalli for emergency communication and worker safety
monitoring systems?

(a) During FY 2024-25, Rs. 13,700 crore has been allocated from Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN)
for various schemes like BharatNet and 4G saturation etc. across the country including Peddapalli
constituency.
(b) BharatNet project is being implemented in a phased manner to provide broadband
connectivity to all the Gram Panchayats (GPs) and villages in the country, including Peddapalli,
Telangana. Implementation of BharatNet in Telangana is being done by the State Government of
Telangana under State-led model. As on 30.06.2025, 252 Gram Panchayats have been connected out
of 266 Gram Panchayats in the Peddapalli district under BharatNet Project.
(c) 141 Common Services Centres (CSCs) are functional across Peddapalli district, out of which
87 CSCs are functional at the Gram Panchayat level.
(d) Spectrum in various frequency bands are assigned to Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) for
