GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF AYUSH RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 1927 TO BE ANSWERED ON 10.03.2026 Implementation and progress of AYUSH visa initiative 1927 # Shri Neeraj Dangi: Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state: (a) whether Government has launched a dedicated “AYUSH Visa” to promote Medical Value Travel (MVT) focused on traditional systems of medicine such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH); (b) the number of foreign nationals who have been issued AYUSH visas since the launch of the initiative and the top ten countries from which patients have availed treatment in India under this initiative; and (c) the measures taken by Ministry to ensure that accredited AYUSH hospitals, wellness centres and Panchakarma institutes catering to foreign patients adhere to international quality and safety standards? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) Yes, there is a separate sub-category of visa for foreign national coming into India for treatment under Ayush system namely M-3 visa for foreign nationals coming for treatment under Ayush system and M-4 visa for attendants accompanying those coming on M-3 visa. (b) The number of foreign nationals who have been issued Ayush visas since the launch of the initiative is enclosed as Annexure–I. The top ten countries from which patients have availed treatment in India under Ayush visa initiative are Switzerland, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, United States of America, Israel, Oman, Uzbekistan, and Portugal.
