Maya Naroliya: Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state: (a) the status of implementation of AYURSWASTHYA Yojana in the country including the State of Maharashtra; (b) the number of Centres of Excellence (COEs) upgraded or established under the scheme; (c) the number of Public Health Initiative (PHI) projects funded for education, research and capacity-building purposes; (d) the amount of funds sanctioned and released under the scheme, along with the State-wise and institution-wise distribution status thereof; (e) whether the Ministry has conducted any assessment of institutional excellence, research outcome and public health impact achieved under the scheme; and (f) if so, the details of findings thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) Ministry of Ayush is implementing a Central Sector Scheme namely Ayurswasthya Yojana having 02 components viz. i) Ayush and Public Health and ii) Centre of Excellence (CoE). The Scheme is being implemented from FY 2021-22 and valid upto March, 2026. Thescheme is being implemented across the Country including the State of Maharashtra and is not specific to any State/UT. (b) Since inception of the scheme, total of 28 institutes/organizations have been supported to be upgraded as Centre of Excellence (CoE). (c) The main aim of the Ayush and Public Health component of the Ayurswasthya Yojana is to roll out of authentic classical Ayush interventions with following objectives: - • To promote Ayush intervention for community health care. • To demonstrate advantages of Ayush health care in public health. • To support for implementing Sustainable Development Goal-2 (SDG2) and Sustainable Development Goal -3 (SDG 3) through integrating Ayush system. • Documentation of the efficacy of Ayush systems through Ayush interventions in various public health issues which can be taken up in larger scale for implementation in national health programmes. Further, under the Ayush and Public Health component of the Ayurswasthya Yojana, 25 projects have been supported since inception of the scheme. Under the above component, there is a provision for training and capacity building of health care providers on Ayush medicines. (d) Being the Central Sector Scheme, funds are not allocated/distributed State/UT-wise. Under the Scheme, financial assistance is provided to the eligible institutes/organizations as per the provision contained in the scheme guidelines. Details of the funds sanctioned and released to the institutes/organizations under the scheme is placed at Annexure. (e) & (f) Ministry of Ayush has conducted evaluation of the scheme by a third party namely Quality Council of India (QCI).
