Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is implementing the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan
(DAJGUA);
(b) if so, the names of the schemes included under this campaign and the details of the
Ministries/Departments involved therein;
(c) the details of targeted benefits, implementation time line and stipulated completion period under each
included scheme;
(d) the details of the progress made so far under the said campaign, State-wise and district-wise; and
(e) whether any monitoring mechanism and time bound action plan has been put in place to ensure
achievement of the objectives of the campaign and if so, the details thereof?

(a): The Government is implementing the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) which
was launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 2nd October, 2024.The Abhiyan targets 63843 tribal
majority villages spread over 549 districts and 2911 blocks in 30 States /UTs benefitting over 5 crore people
in five years.
The Abhiyan has total budgetary outlay of Rs.79,156 Cr. (Central share: ₹56,333 Cr. and State share:
₹22,823 Cr). Each concerned Ministry has been allocated budget and targets under Abhiyan and responsible
for implementing the intervention assigned to it. The Abhiyan aims at saturation through convergence and
outreach.
(b) to (d): The Abhiyan comprises of 25 interventions implemented by 17-line Ministries and aims to
saturate infrastructural gaps in the identified villages, improve access to health, education, Anganwadi
facilities and providing livelihood opportunities. The names of the schemes included under this campaign
including the details of the ministries/departments involved therein, time line and stipulated completion
period and progress made so far is provided at Annexure-I.
(e): Regular review meetings with Ministries/Departments and States/UTs under DAJGUA are organised
to assess the progress made under the Abhiyan. These meetings also serve to monitor the physical as well
