GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 942 TO BE ANSWERED ON 06/02/2026 IMPLEMENTATION OF DDU-GKY IN THE KONKAN REGION OF MAHARASHTRA 942 Shri Dhairyashil Mohan Patil: Will the Minister of Rural Development be pleased to state: (a) details of the total number of rural youth enrolled and trained under Deen DayalUpadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) in Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurgdistricts of Maharashtra since launch of Scheme in September 2014; (b) year-wise details of candidates who have successfully completed training in these threedistricts, along with the number of candidates currently undergoing training; (c) total number of trained candidates who have obtained employment under the minimumplacement assurance of 70 per cent as stipulated under the Scheme guidelines; and (d) status of verification that salary being paid to employed candidates is not less thanminimum wages fixed by Government of Maharashtra? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (SHRI KAMLESH PASWAN) (a) to (c): The details of rural youth enrolled along with the number of youths trained and placed under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) in Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts of Maharashtra since launch of Scheme in September 2014 are given in Annexure-I. (d): Based on the DDU-GKY Standard Operating Procedure (SoP), Notifications and Guidelines, the process of Net Take Home verification, Desk Verification, and Physical Verification for the district-wise sample basis of placed candidates of Raigad (234), Ratnagiri (233), and Sindhudurg (108) districts of Maharashtra has been completed, and it has been verified that the salary paid to the candidates is in accordance with the minimum wages prescribed. ***** Page 1 of 3Page 2 of 3Annexure-I Annexure referred to in reply of parts (a) to (c) of Rajya Sabha Unstarred Question No. 942 due for reply on 06.02.2026.
