SANJAY JAISWAL: SHRI SATISH KUMAR GAUTAM: SHRI PRAVEEN PATEL: Will the Minister of POWER be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has initiated the process for implementation of the India Energy Stack (IES) across the country including the Parliamentary Constituencies of Jammu and Dumka; (b) if so, the current status of implementation of the India Energy Stack (IES) in Jharkhand and the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir including the Parliamentary Constituencies of Dumka and Jammu respectively; (c) whether any power distribution utility or Distribution Company (DISCOMS) have been selected for certification or pilot implementation of the India Energy Stack in the State of Jharkhand and the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir, including the Parliamentary Constituencies of Dumka and Jammu respectively; (d) if so, the details of the utilities selected for Proof-of-Concept along with the progress made so far, major achievements thereof and the timeline and roadmap developed phase-wise for implementation of IES in the country including Jharkhand and Parliamentary Constituency of Dumka; and (e) the manner in which the India Energy Stack is expected to improve digitalisation, interoperability and efficiency in the power sector? A N S W E R THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF POWER (SHRI SHRIPAD NAIK) (a) to (e) : India Energy Stack (IES) is envisioned to create a digital enablement for the power sector so that the disparate parts of the power system can connect and communicate securely through standard data exchange protocols. The Ministry of Power has constituted a task force comprising domain experts and various stakeholders, including representatives from Ministries, state utilities, Regulators, Gencos and Transcos, to chart a roadmap for the IES, including its components and design.Distribution utilities of Delhi, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai have been identified for the pilot (Proof-of-Concept) implementation of IES, and the timeline for demonstration of the same is FY 2026-27. The implementation of IES has presently been initiated only in respect of the distribution utilities selected for the pilot implementation. IES aims to develop unified, secure and interoperable data exchange mechanism so that services and systems work together seamlessly across the power sector value chain. The enablement created by IES aims to facilitate seamless integration of technology solutions related to enhancing efficiency of the distribution sector and consumer-centric services like load forecasting, demand response programmes, energy transaction, and overall digitalisation in the power sector. **********
