SHRI MURARI LAL MEENA: Will the Minister of JAL SHAKTI be pleased to state: (a) the details of the number of small, medium and major irrigation projects sanctioned under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) during the last three years at the national level and in Rajasthan, district and project-wise, particularly in Dausa Lok Sabha Constituency; (b) the amount of funds sanctioned, released and the actual expenditure incurred during the said period for these approved projects along with the number of projects completed so far or those in progress; and (c) the details of the future action plan of Government to connect farmers with the goal of "Har Khet Ko Pani", increase water use efficiency and improve irrigation efficiency in the long term? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR JAL SHAKTI (SHRI RAJ BHUSHAN CHOUDHARY) (a) to (c) Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) was launched during the year 2015-16, with the aim to enhance physical access of water on farm and expand cultivable area under assured irrigation, improve on-farm water use efficiency, introduce sustainable water conservation practices, etc. Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (AIBP) and Har Khet Ko Pani (HKKP) are two major components of PMKSY being implemented by Ministry of Jal Shakti. Nineteen (19) major and medium irrigation projects have been taken up for funding under PMKSY- AIBP and fourteen (14) clusters comprising 1731 Surface Minor Irrigation (SMI) projects have been included under PMKSY-HKKP after approval of implementation of PMKSY for the period of 2021-26. Details of these projects, including projects of Rajasthan are placed as Annexure. Government plans to achieve “Har Khet Ko Pani” through expansion and completion of irrigation projects under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, including components like Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme and Har Khet Ko Pani. Micro-irrigation such as drip and sprinkler systems is being promoted under “Per Drop More Crop” to enhance water-use efficiency. Modernisation of irrigation systems, including SCADA-based canal operations and underground pipelines, are being promoted to improve irrigation efficiency. Watershed development and repair, renovation and restoration of water bodies are being implemented to ensure sustainable irrigation in the long term. In addition, a pilot scheme viz. Modernisation of Command Area Development and Water Management (MCAD) has been launched with aim to modernize irrigation water supply network with robust backend infrastructure for micro-irrigation by farmers from established source to the Farm gate with underground pressurized piped irrigation. This will increase water use efficiency and agriculture productivity. *** 1ANNEXURE ANNEXURE REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PART (a) to (c) OF UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 3223 TO BE ANSWERED IN LOK SABHA ON 12.03.2026 REGARDING “IMPLEMENTATION OF PMKSY IN RAJASTHAN”.
