(a) the current status of implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana
(PMKVY) in the State of Tamil Nadu, including details of the training centres established,
courses offered and training partners engaged till date;
(b) the geographic distribution of these centres across the districts of Tamil Nadu;
(c) the total amount of funds allocated, released and utilized under PMKVY in Tamil
Nadu during the last three financial years and the current year along with the number of
beneficiaries trained under the said scheme, year-wise;
(d) whether the Government has entered into partnerships with industries, business
associations, or private sector employers to facilitate the recruitment of PMKVY-certified
candidates in Tamil Nadu;
(e) if so, the details of such industry-linked initiatives; and
(f) if not, the reasons for the lack of such collaborations and whether the Government
proposes to address this gap to ensure better employment linkage for PMKVY beneficiaries
in Tamil Nadu and if so, the details thereof?

a) Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is implementing its
flagship Scheme Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) since 2015. Under
PMKVY, skill training is imparted through Short Term Training (STT) and Re-skilling and
Up-skilling through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to youth across the country.
Under PMKVY 4.0, current version of the scheme, a total of 1,25,468 individuals have been
trained/oriented out of which 91,087 have been certified in Tamil Nadu till 30th June 2025.
The details of the training centres under the PMKVY scheme in Tamil Nadu are as under:

with Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) to design industry-relevant training. Key efforts include
organizing industry consultations to gain deeper insights into sector-specific demands and
challenges, identifying high-demand and emerging/New Age skill areas, and involving
industries as Awarding Bodies. Various industries/ industry bodies like Confederation of
Indian Textile Industry, Tamil Nadu Spinning Mills Association, CMR Green Technologies
limited, etc. are being engaged for employer-led training projects under the Special Projects
