158. SHRI AASHTIKAR PATIL NAGESH BAPURAO:
Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is aware of ongoing protests by the Scheduled Tribes community in Hingoli district
regarding prolonged vacancies in Government and semi-Government posts earmarked for Scheduled Tribes
candidates and if so, the details of the number of sanctioned vacancies that remain unfilled in the district along
with the estimated timeline for filling these posts;
(b) the steps the Government has taken or proposes to take to ensure that Scheduled Tribes job vacancies are
filled expeditiously in the Hingoli region of Maharashtra including special recruitment drives launched,
monitoring mechanisms or coordination established with the State Government; and
(c) whether the Government has received representations or complaints from tribal organisations or community
groups in Hingoli regarding delays in Scheduled Tribes certificate verification or other procedural obstacles
affecting tribal employment opportunities and if so, the action taken to streamline such processes?

(a) to (c): The State Government of Maharashtra has informed that there are no ongoing protests by the Scheduled
Tribe community in Hingoli district and that vacancies reserved for Scheduled Tribe candidates are filled in
accordance with the prescribed reservation policy. Further, no representations or complaints have been received
from tribal organisations or community groups in the Hingoli district regarding delays in Scheduled Tribe
certificate verification or related procedural obstacles.
The Government of Maharshtra has further informed that the verification of Scheduled Tribe certificates
is carried out by the competent Caste Scrutiny Committees under the Tribal Development Department in
accordance with the relevant Act of 2000 and Rules of 2003, and instructions are issued from time to time to
ensure timely disposal of cases.
