GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF AYUSH LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 2266 TO BE ANSWERED ON 31.07.2026 Implementation of the National AYUSH Mission in Bihar 2266. Shri Raja Ram Singh: Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has reviewed the implementation of the National AYUSH Mission in Bihar, if so, the details thereof; (b) the total number of AYUSH hospitals colleges and institutes in Bihar sanctioned but not completed or delayed, along with the reasons therefor; (c) the total funds allocated, released and utilised during the last five years in this regard; and (d) whether any proposal for establishing new integrated AYUSH hospitals or research institutes in Bihar is under consideration and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) The evaluation of National Ayush Mission (NAM) under seven (7) Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) under the Health sector covering the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Ministry of Ayush Umbrella Schemes among all State/UTs including Bihar has been carried out by NITI Aayog in 2025. Recently a review has been undertaken during 29th June, 2026 to 1st July, 2026 with senior functionaries of States/UTs to assess the progress of infrastructure development, service delivery, human resources, digital integration, medicines’ supply and governance mechanisms under NAM. Earlier also these reviews were held during NAM Conclave on 1-2 May, 2025 and during the Departmental Summit on “National Ayush Mission and Capacity Building in States” in the month of September, 2025. Further, one to one meetings, periodic review meetings and field visits are regular features.(b) As per the proposals received from State Government of Bihar through State Annual Action Plan (SAAP) during 2025-26, Ministry of Ayush has approved establishment of total 10 Integrated Ayush Hospital (seven, 50-bedded and three, 10-bedded). However, as reported by State Government no funds have been allocated to these hospitals. (c) Under NAM, during last five years, an amount of Rs. 3069.42 Lakhs has been released to State Government of Bihar as central share for implementation of different activities as approved in the received State Annual Action Plans (SAAPs). Further, as reported by the State Government, they have made expenditure for an amount of Rs. 2666.465 Lakhs. (d) No such proposals. *****
