GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 3917 TO BE ANSWERED ON: 12.08.2026 IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NATIONAL BLOCKCHAIN FRAMEWORK 3917. SMT. SANGEETA KUMARI SINGH DEO: Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state: (a) the present status of implementation of the National Blockchain Framework and Blockchain-as-a-Service infrastructure across the country; (b) the details of services presently hosted through the National Blockchain Framework from the NIC Data Centre at Bhubaneswar along with the role of Odisha in strengthening the national blockchain ecosystem; (c) the details of Government departments and public service applications presently using blockchain technology including applications relating to land records, document verification and supply chain management; and (d) whether the Government proposes to expand blockchain infrastructure and citizen- centric applications in Odisha and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SHRI JITIN PRASADA) (a) to (d): National Blockchain Framework (NBF)- Vishvasya, a Blockchain technology stack, is developed and launched to offer Blockchain-as-a-Service. It is hosted on geographically distributed NIC data centres at Bhubaneswar, Pune and Hyderabad. It supports smart contracts, security, privacy, interoperability and development & deployment of permissioned blockchain- based applications. Various blockchain-based applications hosted on geographically distributed NBF infrastructure including Bhubaneswar are as follows: ● Property chain for Revenue Department, Town Municipal Council, City Corporation, Govt of Karnataka; Department of Revenue and Department of Survey, Govt of Andhra Pradesh; and Department of Revenue, Govt of Jharkhand. ● Certificate chain for Revenue Department, Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Govt of Karnataka; Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, Chhattisgarh; Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik, Maharashtra; Revenue Department, Delhi; Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur; Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Puducherry; Blockchain-based service level training record solution for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad.● Supply chain for drug logistics for State Medical Supplies Corporation Limited, Karnataka. *******
