IMPLEMENTATION STATUS OF PM VISHWAKARMA YOJANA
3463. SHRI GOLLA BABURAO:
Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) details of trades included under PM Vishwakarma Yojana;
(b) status of implementation of PM Vishwakarma since its implementation, year-wise and State-
wise;
(c) whether it is a fact that trades like lakhara (engaged in making and sale of lacquer and glass
bangles), painter, garland-maker/flower stringer/florist and women who designs on saris are not
included under PM Vishwakarma; and
(d) if so, the reasons thereof and steps taken/proposed to take to include them under the scheme?

(a) to (d): PM Vishwakarma scheme was launched on 17.09.2023, to provide end-to-end
holistic support to artisans and craftspeople of 18 traditional trades who work with their hands and
tools.
The scheme benefits artisans and craftspeople engaged in the 18 approved trades, particularly
those who have acquired their skills through the traditional guru–shishya parampara.
The details of the 18 trades included in PM Vishwakarma are (i) Carpenter (ii) Boat
Maker(iii) Armourer (iv) Shilpi Dhatu (v)Hammer and Tool Kit Maker (vi) Locksmith (vii)
Goldsmith (viii) Potter (ix) Sculptor Stone breaker (x) Cobbler/Shoesmith/Footwear artisan (xi)
Mason (xii) Basket/Mat/Broom Maker/Coir Weaver (xiii) Doll & Toy Maker (Traditional) (xiv)
Barber (xv) Garland maker (xvi) Washerman (xvii) Tailor and (xviii) Fishing Net Maker.
Status of implementation of PM Vishwakarma since its implementation, year-wise and State-
wise is at Annexure I & II.
