In-House Committee for backlog reserved vacancies
2800. SHRI YERRAM VENKATA SUBBA REDDY:
Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state:
(a) whether DoPT directed to constitute an In-House Committee for identification
of backlog reserved vacancies, study the root cause of such vacancies, initiate
measures to fill them up through Special Recruitment Drives;
(b) if so, when the Committee was constituted by the Ministry to identify backlog
reserved vacancies;
(c) whether Ministry has constituted Liaison Officer and set up Special Reservation
Cell under him;
(d) if so, the details thereof?
ANSWER
THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS & FERTILZERS
(a) Yes.
(b) No.
( c) & (d) Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers comprising three Departments viz.
Department of Fertilizers (DoF), Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals
(DCPC) and Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), are the cadre controlling authority
for the posts of MTS, Despatch Rider, Staff Car Driver and other technical posts.
Reservation is applicable only to the post of MTS. Further, recruitment to other posts
is done by SSC, UPSC and through deputation.
DoF, DCPC and DoP have nominated Liaison Officers for SC, ST, OBC and
PwD. Reservation Cell has been set up by DCPC and secretariat support to the Liaison
Officers in DoF and DoP is provided by the respective Establishment Section. The
details of Liaison Officers of the three Departments are as under:-
