SIKANDER KUMAR: Will the Minister of Communications be pleased to state: (a) the specific objectives and roadmap for five-year MoU signed between India and Brazil on February 21, 2026, to strengthen postal cooperation; (b) the status of integrating track-and-trace systems between India Post and Brazil’s postal network to support the $30 billion bilateral trade target by 2030; (c) whether Government would allocate specific funds during 2026-27 for digital services expansion and citizen-centric delivery models intended to be shared with Brazil; and (d) the timeline proposed for the first Joint Working Group meeting or exchange visit to commence the implementation of this agreement? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR COMMUNICATIONS AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT (DR. PEMMASANI CHANDRA SEKHAR) a) The specific Objectives and roadmap are to enhance Cooperation and strategic partnerships between the two countries and develop cooperation in the field of the postal sector through mutual consultations. b) A tracking system exists for the exchange of items with Brazil. It is expected that this would help enhance Postal business with Brazil. c) The allocation of funds is done based on approved budgetary provisions and the availability of funds. d) The timelines would be decided by mutual consultations between the two signatories. ***** 1
