SHRI HARIBHAI PATEL: Will the Minister of TEXTILES वस्त्र मंत्री be pleased to state : (a) whether the India International Garment Fair is organised by the Government and if so, the details thereof; (b) whether the Government has approved a Production Linked Incentive Scheme to promote the textile sector and if so, the details thereof; and (c) whether the Government has fixed any targets for textile exports in the coming years to promote the textile industry in the country and if so, the details thereof? उत्तर ANSWER वस्त्र राज् य मंत्री (श्री पबित्र मार्घरे रटा) THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR TEXTILES (SHRI PABITRA MARGHERITA) (a): No. (b): Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles was notified on 24/09/2021 with an objective to promote production of MMF Apparel & Fabrics and products of Technical Textiles in the country to enable the textile industry to achieve size and scale, become competitive, create employment opportunities for people and support creation of a viable enterprise and competitive textile industry with an approved outlay of Rs.10,683 cr. The PLI Scheme criteria have been amended in October, 2025, wherein minimum investment limit has been reduced by 50%, incremental turnover criteria lowered from 25% to 10% from the second year, product basket has been expanded by inclusion of 17 new products of MMF apparel, & fabrics, as well as condition of setting up a new company for availing the benefit of the Scheme has been removed. These amendments are designed to stimulate investments across the entire MMF value chain and enhance production of MMF Apparels, Fabrics and Technical Textile products.
