SHRI MADDILA GURUMOORTHY: Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state: (a) whether any Industry 4.0-focused programmes has been launched in Andhra Pradesh under the Union Budget 2025–26 to develop high-end skills in emerging technologies; (b) whether any institutions in Tirupati—such as Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER), SV University or skill development centres have been selected for Industry 4.0 talent development or electronic equipment manufacturing initiatives; (c) whether the domestic electronic equipment industry in Andhra Pradesh has been given support or incentives to promote employment for youth in districts like Tirupati; (d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons for the lack of inclusion; and (e) whether targeted support will be extended to ensure Tirupati’s youth benefit from national Industry 4.0 and digital manufacturing opportunities? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (SHRI JITIN PRASADA) (a) to (e): Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) has enrolled more than 2.79 Lakh candidate under the FutureSkills PRIME program. The program is being run in association with industry association NASSCOM. It aims to skill candidate in emerging technologies such as AI, robotics, 3D printing, cybersecurity, etc. Government has recently established a centre of National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) at Tirupati. NIELIT Tirupati currently offers programs including AI, IoT, Data Engineering, 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing, Python Programming, Cloud Computing, Embedded Systems, and Drone Technology. STPI centre in Tirupati is providing services to local IT/ITeS industry and startups/entrepreneurs by offering statutory services, incubation services, High Speed Data Communication (HSDC) services, Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), etc. In the last 11 years, Government has undertaken consistent measures to develop electronics manufacturing in India. As a result, electronics production has increased 6 times to reach 3.3 Lakh Cr and mobile production has increased 28 times to reach 5.5 Lakh Cr. India has emerged as an important global electronics manufacturing hub.To further deepen electronics manufacturing, Government has launched Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme. It promotes manufacturing of components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, printed circuit boards, sub-assemblies, electro-mechanicals, etc. The scheme is open to the applicants from all states including Andhra Pradesh. Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMCs): Government of India has established four (4) EMCs in Andhra Pradesh: i. Village-Cherivi, Satyavedu Mandal, Chittor District ii. Vikruthamala Village, Yerpadu Mandal, Chittor District iii. Renigunta and Yerpadu Mandal, Chittor District, Near Airport, Tirupati iv. Kopparthy, Kadapa, YSR District Around 62 companies have committed to make an investment of approximately Rs. 6,421 Cr with a potential for additional employment of 59,694. Government has established the Kalpataru Centre of Entrepreneurship (CoE) on Industry 4.0 in 2021 at Visakhapatnam. So far, Kalpataru CoE has supported 45 start-ups. *******
