GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF AYUSH LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 1042 TO BE ANSWERED ON 24.07.2026 Integrated AYUSH Hospital in Bihar †1042. Shri Gopal Jee Thakur: Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state: (a) whether approval has been accorded for the establishment of a 50-bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital in Darbhanga district of Bihar; (b) if so, the current status thereof along with the time by which the said construction work is likely to be commenced and completed; (c) the details of the funds sanctioned, released and utilized by the Union Government under the National AYUSH Mission or other Central schemes for the development of the AYUSH sector in Darbhanga district during the last five years, year-wise and item-wise; (d) the details of various schemes, hospitals, dispensaries, health centres, yoga and wellness centres and other projects related to Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Siddha, Yoga, and Naturopathy currently operational or proposed in Darbhanga district, stream-wise and schemewise; and (e) whether the Government is considering any new scheme or special package to develop the aforesaid facility as a regional AYUSH medical and research centre and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) and (b) Under National Ayush Mission (NAM) as per the proposal received from State Government of Bihar, Ministry of Ayush has approved a 50 bedded Integrated Ayush Hospital at Dharbhanga, Bihar. As reported by the State Government of Bihar construction work has not been started in Darbhanga. Since implementation of the Scheme comes under the purview of respective State Government, the State Government has informed that project is given to Bihar Medical Services and Infrastructure Corporation Limited (BMSICL).(c) Under NAM, an amount of Rs. 3069.420 lakhs has been released to State Government for implementation of different approved activities of SAAPs in Bihar including Darbhanga during the last five years and as reported by State, they have made expenditure for an amount of Rs. 2666.465 lakhs. (d) As reported by State Government of Bihar there are total 35 Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Ayush), 06 Ayush dispensaries, 01 District Joint dispensary and 01 Ayurvedic Medical college situated in District Darbhanaga. Further, State Government is being supported under NAM for different activities as per the proposals received through SAAPs. (e) No such scheme/ proposal. *****
