be pleased to state:-
(a) whether the Government has assessed the impact of inadequate aviation connectivity and
logistics infrastructure on industrial job migration from Maharashtra, particularly in districts
like Nandurbar, Solapur and Sangli and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the steps being taken to ensure that the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is
integrated with Maharashtra's major industrial and export clusters including Solapur, Sangli
and Nandurbar;
(c) whether any time-bound plan has been formulated for developing regional air cargo
terminals, last-mile logistics corridors and feeder routes connecting Maharashtra's tier-2 cities
to NMIA and if so, the details thereof; and
(d) the measures being adopted to align central aviation investments with State-level
industrial growth and employment generation targets?

(a) to (d): The Government is proactively undertaking multiple initiatives to enhance regional
connectivity and logistics infrastructure across the country. The Regional Connectivity
Scheme Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (RCS-UDAN) is an ongoing, market-based scheme aimed
at improving air connectivity to unserved and underserved regions. Bidding rounds are
conducted periodically, and airlines submit proposals based on demand assessment and
commercial viability. ;

Solapur Airport is being developed under the UDAN Scheme, and commercial flight
operations have already commenced. The Jath airstrip in Sangli district is available under the
Scheme; however, no airline has submitted a proposal to operate RCS flights on this sector so
far. Nandurbar airstrip is not available in the UDAN Document.

Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is being developed with strong multimodal
connectivity through major highways, Atal Setu (MTHL), and rail networks, ensuring
seamless access across Maharashtra and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This connectivitysupports the efficient movement of passengers and goods between NMIA and major
industrial and export clusters, including Solapur, Sangli, and Nandurbar.
A new air cargo facility with an annual handling capacity of 1.20 million metric tonnes has
been planned at NMIA by the airport operator.
