JYOTSANA CHARANDAS MAHANT Will the Minister of NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY be pleased to state: (a) the current status of international funding mobilization for the 13 GW renewable energy Project in Pang, Ladakh along with the details of any Multilateral Development Banks or Sovereign Wealth Funds that have expressed interest; (b) the details of private consultants or agencies engaged for project preparation, Techno- Economic Feasibility and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies; (c) the procedure adopted for the selection of these agencies (open tender or nomination) and the criteria used for such selection; and (d) the total financial expenditure incurred or allocated for these consultancy services and the timeline for the submission of their final reports? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR NEW & RENEWABLE ENERGY AND POWER (SHRI SHRIPAD YESSO NAIK) (a) Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) is the Implementing Agency for 13 GW Renewable Energy (RE) project in Pang, Ladakh. SECI has not mobilized any international funding for this 13 GW RE Project in Pang, Ladakh. (b) & (c) SECI had engaged following agencies through open tender: i. M/s SBA Enviro Private Limited for Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies, ii. M/s Matrix Geo Solution Private Limited for Ariel Drone/UAV Topography survey, iii. M/s Mount Geo Technical Services Pvt. Ltd for Soil investigation. In addition, National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE), an autonomous body under Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) was engaged, as an expert institution on nomination basis for Wind and Solar Resource Assessment in the identified locations. (d) A total expenditure of Rs 5.02 crores was incurred towards these activities and all the final reports have been submitted to SECI. *****
