Shri Vishnu Datt Sharma: Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state: (a) whether Samagra Shiksha (Integrated School Education) scheme interventions (infrastructure, digital education, vocational integration and teacher training) are being implemented in Katni, Panna and Khajuraho town in Madhya Pradesh, if so, the details thereof; (b) the specific infrastructure, digital/ICT and teacher-training works sanctioned and completed in schools of these districts during the last three years; (c) the number of schools covered, funds released and measurable outcomes achieved in the said districts; (d) whether coverage of the said scheme is inadequate in the said districts, if so, the reasons therefor; and (e) the details of timeframe and planned interventions to ensure equitable school-education quality and employability-linked vocational programmes in these districts? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION (SHRI JAYANT CHAUDHARY) (a) Scheme of Samagra Shiksha supports State/UTs for various infrastructure interventions like opening /strengthening of Schools, upgradation of schools, additional classrooms, toilets, drinking water, electrification, different labs, various residential facilities including KGBVs, NSCBAVs, PM JANMAN and DAJGUA etc. To promote Digital Education, ICT/Smart classes, internet connectivity, digital library are also supported. Under Skill/Vocational Education intervention, financial assistance is provided to States/UTs for giving exposure to Skill Education to students of Grades 6 to 8 and introduction of Skill courses from Grades 9 to 12, which are aligned with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF). These Samagra Shiksha interventions are being implemented throughout the country including all districts of Madhya Pradesh. (b) to (d) All the States/UTs prepare annual plans as per their requirement/priority, and the same is reflected in their respective Annual Work Plan and Budget (AWP&B) proposals, as per normsof Samagra Shiksha scheme. These plans are then appraised and approved by the Project Approval Board (PAB) in the Department of School Education & Literacy in consultation with the States and UTs as per the programmatic and financial norms of the scheme and physical and financial progress of the States/UTs for the interventions approved earlier. As informed by the State Government of Madhya Pradesh, the details on infrastructure, digital/ICT and teacher- training works sanctioned and completed in schools of districts Katni, Panna and Chhatarpur (Khajuraho) during the last three years are annexed as Annexure. Further, Digital Infrastructure for Knowledge Sharing (DIKSHA) is the Nation’s One Nation, One Digital platform for providing quality e-content for school education in States/UTs including the above mentioned districts. As a participant in DIKSHA, States/UTs/Autonomous Bodies have generated content in mother local/regional languages enabling multilingualism. The platform supports both online and offline access, enabling learners to download content and continue learning without internet connectivity. Besides, PM eVidya was initiated as part of Atma Nirbhar Bharat to unify all efforts related to digital/online/on-air education to enable multi-mode access to education across the country. The key components of PM eVidya are also aligned towards enhancing digital literacy and include 200 DTH TV channels and 400 Radio channels to enable all States/UTs including the above mentioned districts to provide supplementary education in various Indian languages for classes 1-12. Under the PM eVidya 200 DTH TV Channels initiative, the State of Madhya Pradesh has been allotted 05 dedicated channels (MP PM eVIDYA 108–112). (e) During PAB 2026-27 specific interventions like ICT labs, strengthening of toilets, drinking water, electrification etc were approved for these districts as proposed by State of Madhya Pradesh. As informed by the State Government of Madhya Pradesh, to ensure equitable school- education quality and employability-linked vocational programmes- (i) Learning Outcome-based Workbooks have been provided to all students from Classes 1 to 8 to support competency-based learning and improved learning outcomes. (ii) Olympiad was organized for students of classes 2 to 8 to promote academic excellence and enhance the quality of education. (iii) Various Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) including Learning Kits, Floor Games, Jaudi Pitara, and regional language storybooks, have been provided to students of the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) classes to strengthen Foundational Learning.
