SHOBHANABEN MAHENDRASINH BARAIYA: SHRI RAMESH AWASTHI: SHRI MANOJ TIWARI: SHRI ANANTA NAYAK: Will the Minister of STEEL be pleased to state: (a) the cumulative investment realised against the projected outlays under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Specialty Steel as of June 2026; (b) the details of incremental production capacity created and direct employment generated by the manufacturing units approved under the Scheme; (c) whether project implementation has commenced across the companies that signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) under PLI Scheme 1.2 for Specialty Steel and if so, the details thereof; and (d) whether any project has been approved, is under implementation, or is proposed under the PLI Scheme for Specialty Steel in Keonjhar Lok Sabha Constituency, Odisha and if so, the details of the investment, employment potential, implementation status and expected timeline for commissioning? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE (SHRI BHUPATHIRAJU SRINIVASA VARMA) MINISTRY OF STEEL (a)&(b): As of June, 2026, a cumulative investment of ₹26,320 crore, incremental production of approximately 3.75 million tonnes, and direct employment for around 14,000 persons have been achieved under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Specialty Steel. (c)&(d): Yes, Sir. The implementation of projects approved under PLI Scheme 1.2 has commenced and an investments of ₹1,400 crore has been made. Further, the Scheme is applicable for all states in India. 167 projects of 100 companies from 15 States have been approved, which includes 19 projects in Odisha. *****
