SHRI ARVIND DHARMAPURI: Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state: (a) the total funds allocated and released by the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) to Telangana from 2014-15 to present, year-wise; (b) the key programmes and activities implemented by KVIC in Telangana during the said period including the establishment of Khadi institutions, training centres and employment generation initiatives taken; (c) whether any special schemes/programme or clusters have been developed in Telangana to promote turmeric, Khadi, honey, coir, or village industries and if so, the details thereof; and (d) the details of artisans, weavers and rural entrepreneurs who have benefited under KVIC/Board- supported schemes in the said State? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a) & (b): Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is implementing the following schemes for the development of Khadi and Village Industries Sector in the Country including Telangana State : I. Khadi and Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (KGVY), a Central Sector Scheme having two components i.e Khadi Vikas Yojana (KVY) and Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY). (i) Khadi Vikas Yojana (KVY) : the components of KVY are (i) Modified Market Development Assistance (MMDA), (ii) Interest Subsidy Eligibility Certificate Scheme (ISEC), (iii)Work- shed Scheme for Khadi Artisans, (iv)Strengthening Infrastructure of Existing Weak Khadi Institutions and Assistance for Marketing Infrastructure ,(v) Centre of Excellence for Khadi (CoEK), (vi)Marketing(Exhibitions), and (vii) Science & Technology (S& T).
