GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES RAJYA SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO.1066 TO BE ANSWERED ON 09.02.2026 KHADI & VILLAGE INDUSTRIES DEVELOPMENT IN J&K 1066. SHRI SAT PAUL SHARMA: Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state: (a) the number of Khadi and Village Industries (KVI) clusters established in Jammu and Kashmir during the last three years, along with district-wise details thereof; (b) the details of funds sanctioned, released and utilised under the Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (KGVY) for Jammu and Kashmir during the said period; and (c) whether employment has been generated through these initiatives, particularly for women and SC/ST beneficiaries in Jammu and Kashmir? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a) to (c): There are six Khadi and Village Industries (KVI) clusters which are under implementation in Jammu and Kashmir under the Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI). The details of the clusters are given below: S. No. Cluster Name District 1. Banihal Bee Keeping Cluster Ramban 2. Kailash Kund Sudh Mahadev Bee Doda Keeping Cluster 3. Masterjee Bee Keeping Cluster Samba 4. The Baramulla Pattan Weaving Baramulla Cluster 5. The Pampore Cluster Pulwama 6. The Srinagar Honey Cluster Srinagar  Details of funds sanctioned, released and expenditure incurred under Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (KGVY) in Jammu and Kashmir during the last three years i.e. 2022-23 to 2024-25 is given below: Sr. No. Particulars Amount (Rs. in lakhs) Funds 1 501.64 Sanctioned/released 2 Expenditure incurred 443.63  Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana is being implemented by KVIC to strengthen rural livelihoods by generating sustainable employment particularly for women and artisans. Employment has been generated through these initiatives, including for women and SC/ST beneficiaries in Jammu and Kashmir. *****
