KHADI & VILLAGE INDUSTRIES DEVELOPMENT IN J&K
1066. SHRI SAT PAUL SHARMA:
Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the number of Khadi and Village Industries (KVI) clusters established in Jammu and
Kashmir during the last three years, along with district-wise details thereof;
(b) the details of funds sanctioned, released and utilised under the Khadi Gramodyog Vikas
Yojana (KGVY) for Jammu and Kashmir during the said period; and
(c) whether employment has been generated through these initiatives, particularly for
women and SC/ST beneficiaries in Jammu and Kashmir?

(a) to (c): There are six Khadi and Village Industries (KVI) clusters which are under
implementation in Jammu and Kashmir under the Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional
Industries (SFURTI). The details of the clusters are given below:

Khadi Gramodyog Vikas Yojana is being implemented by KVIC to strengthen rural
livelihoods by generating sustainable employment particularly for women and artisans.
Employment has been generated through these initiatives, including for women and SC/ST
beneficiaries in Jammu and Kashmir.
