Will the Minister of FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) the loan disbursed under the Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing
Enterprises (PMFME) scheme since 2020, State-wise including Mayiladuthurai Lok
Sabha Constituency of Tamil Nadu;
(b) the guidelines in force and the nodal agency in Tamil Nadu for applying funds under
the said scheme; and
(c) whether fish processing and value addition units are to be covered under this scheme
and if so, the details thereof?

(a): 1,16,557 Loans have been disbursed under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro
food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme for Credit Linked Subsidy since its inception
(2020) across the country, out of which, 584 loans have been disbursed in Mayiladuthurai Lok
Sabha Constituency (including Mayiladuthurai and Thanjavur districts) of Tamil Nadu. The
State-wise details are at Annexure.
(b): Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is the State Nodal Department in
State of Tamil Nadu for implementation of PMFME Scheme including utilization of funds as
per the provisions of scheme guidelines prescribed in June,2020.
(c): Setting up / up-gradation of micro fish processing and value addition units are covered
under PMFME scheme for availing support. 639 loans have been sanctioned for credit linked
subsidy to such units in the State of Tamil Nadu under the PMFME Scheme.
