ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES (SHRI RAVNEET SINGH) (a): The state-wise details of number of Mega Food Parks (MFP) and Cold Chain (CC) Projects approved by the Government, along with the funds spent under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) are at Annexure-1. (b): The state-wise details of various projects under component schemes of PMKSY, at Annexure-2. (c): Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) is a Central Sector demand driven scheme and the funds are not allocated/sanctioned/released state-wise under any of thecomponent schemes of PMKSY. The applications are invited through Expression of Interest (EoI) from all over India including Amroha and Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh and Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh. The proposals received are scrutinized for their eligibility and evaluated based on the criteria fixed as per the extant scheme guidelines. Merit based approvals are given to the eligible proposals based on availability of funds. Details of projects approved in Amroha and Jhansi districts are at Annexure-3. No project has been approved in the district of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh as on date. (d) and (e): PMKSY scheme aims towards the creation of modern infrastructure with efficient supply chain management from farm gate to retail outlets which includes storage, transportation, etc., thereby helping in providing better returns to farmers. With Creation of Food Processing Infrastructure, the demand for Farm produce which is raw material for Food Processing industries increases leading to better prices to farmers and increasing farm gate profitability. As on 30.06.2025, under various component schemes of PMKSY, 1601 no. of projects have been approved, out of which 1133 projects have been completed benefitting 3,41,5102 number of farmers in the country, 2,14,243 no. of farmers in the state of Uttar Pradesh and 1,121 no. of farmers in Amroha district. As per the Evaluation Study conducted and submitted to the Ministry by NABARD Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. (NABCONS) in 2020 on “Impact of Units Implemented under Scheme for Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure assisted by Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI)”, it was highlighted that due to interventions of the Integrated Cold Chain and Value Addition Infrastructure Scheme of Ministry of Food Processing Industries, while all sectors had shown some decrease in wastages, but Fruits & Vegetables, Dairy and Fisheries sector had shown significant reduction in wastages. (f) The details of PMKSY scheme in the state of Maharashtra are at Annexure-4. Details of projects approved in the Palaghar district are at Annexure-5.
