Will the Minister of FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) the details of Mega Food Parks, Agro Processing Clusters and Cold Chain projects sanctioned
in Telangana since 2014;
(b) the total funds allocated and utilised for these projects;
(c) the number of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and food processing units supported
in the State;
(d) whether any delays or bottlenecks have been identified in project implementation and if so,
the details thereof; and
(e) the steps taken by the Government to strengthen value addition and food processing
capacity in Telangana?

(a) & (b): The details of Mega Food Parks, Agro Processing Clusters and Cold Chain projects
sanctioned in Telangana since 2014, under Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) are
at Annexure. As on 31.10.2025, a total of ₹236.21 crore has been approved as grant-in-aid to these
projects, out of which ₹159.40 crore has been released as subsidy.
(c): A total of 46 food processing units have been supported in the State of Telangana under
PMKSY. As of now, no project under the Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) category has been
supported in Telangana under PMKSY.
(d): Delay in project implementation, if any, has been mainly due to factors such as delay in receipt
of statutory clearances from the respective Agencies (including Revenue Authority, Town Planning,
Electricity Authority, Water Authority, Pollution Control Board, Licensing Authority etc.), delay in
Term Loan Sanction and disbursement, Financial constraints faced by applicants, Covid disruptions
etc.
(e): The Ministry of Food Processing Industries is implementing a central sector umbrella scheme
“Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY)” and under which financial assistance is
provided to entrepreneurs for creation of modern infrastructure with efficient supply chain
management from farm gate to retail outlets thereby giving a boost to the growth of food processing
sector in the country. PMKSY is demand-driven and applications are invited through Expression of
Interest (EoI) from all over India including Telangana. The funds are not
allocated/sanctioned/released state-wise under any of the component schemes of PMKSY.
