**Executive Summary**

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to
state:
(a) the physical and financial progress of the ongoing Metro Rail
corridors in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), specifically the
fully underground Metro Line-3 (Aqua Line) and the elevated Line-4
(Wadala–Kasarvadavali) as on January 2026;
(b) the details of Central financial assistance released to the Mumbai
Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) and the Mumbai Metropolitan
Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for these projects during the
current fiscal year;
(c) the status of implementation of the National Common Mobility Card
(NCMC) across all operational metro lines and the BEST bus network
to ensure seamless multi-modal transit for commuters;
(d) the measures taken to improve last-mile connectivity from metro
stations through e-feeders and non-motorized transport infrastructure
under the station area development plans; and
(e) the timeline fixed for commissioning of the remaining phases of the
Metro network to decongest the suburban railway system?

Ring Metro Project
(b): The Central Financial Assistance released to the Mumbai Metro Rail
Corporation Limited (MMRCL) for implementation of Mumbai Metro Line-3 in
the form of Subordinate Debt is ₹207.15 crore and Pass Through Assistance
(PTA) is ₹1,169.19 crore during the current fiscal year i.e. 2025-26.
No Central Financial Assistance has been released to Mumbai
Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for these metro
projects during the current fiscal year, as the project implemented by
MMRDA are state sector projects.
(c): The National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) has been implemented
across all operational metro lines in MMR namely Mumbai Metro Line-1,
Line-2A, Line-3, Line-7 and the BEST bus network.

(d): MMRDA has informed that it has undertaken implementation of
Multimodal Integration works for all Metro lines which includes widened
and improved footpaths, smooth entry/exit to commuters and physically
challenged persons, provision of dedicated bays for bus, autos, taxi and
ambulance etc. Installation of railings below metro station area, road
markings / paintings, advanced bus stops etc. The provision of bicycle
stands has also been made near metro stations. In addition, MMRCL in
coordination with concerned agencies and private partners, EV charging
facilities have been provided in the station influence areas to enable
seamless operation of e-vehicle feeder services.
(e): The physical and financial progress of Metro Projects in MMRC is
given in reply to part (a) above. The project completion timeline depends on
various factors viz. land acquisition, statutory clearances, Rehabilitation
and Resettlement etc.
