Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the number of AmritSarovars constructed or renovated so far in
the country under Mission AmritSarovar, State-wise;
(b) whether the aim of this mission was to construct/revive at
least 75 AmritSarovars in each district, if so, the details
thereof;
(c) if so, the number of AmritSarovars constructed or renovated
under this mission in the State of Rajasthan during the last
three years;
(d) the number of lakes developed under this mission in Dausa
district and the number of such lakes fully functional at
present; and
(e) whether the Government is providing additional financial
assistance or technical guidanceto the State Governments for
effective implementation of the said scheme, if so, the details
thereof?

(a): State-wise number of AmritSarovars constructed/ rejuvenated
as on 04.12.2025 under Mission AmritSarovar phase-I is given at
Annexure.
(b)& (c): The Objective of Mission AmritSarovar is the
“construction/development of at least 75 AmritSarovar (ponds) in
every district of the country”. All rural districts of all States/UTs
(except Delhi, Chandigarh and Lakshadweep) was to develop at
Page 1 of 4least 75 AmritSarovarstotalling about 50,000 AmritSarovars in the
country. As on 04.12.2025 under Mission AmritSarovar phase-I, a
total of 68,827 AmritSarovars across the nation have been
constructed/ rejuvenated.
The total number of AmritSarovars constructed/ rejuvenated under
the Mission AmritSarovar in the State of Rajasthan as on 04.12.2025
is 3,139.
(d): The total number of AmritSarovars constructed/ rejuvenated
under the Mission AmritSarovar in Dausa district of Rajasthan as on
04.12.2025 is 78 Sarovars.
(e): The Mission works through convergence from various schemes
such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee
Scheme (Mahatma Gandhi NREGS), 15th Finance Commission Grants,
Pradhan MantriKrishiSinchayeeYojana (PMKSY) sub-schemes such
as Watershed Development Component, HarKhetkoPani, besides
States’ own Scheme and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
For effective implementation of Mission AmritSarovar,
comprehensive technical support is provided to the participating
State/UT Governments. This includes guidance through the Mission
AmritSarovar Guidelines, supplementary advisories, technical
workshops, and continuous handholding support as and when
States/UT face operational challenges.
In addition, the Government has developed AmritSarovar
Portal, which enables State Governments to monitor progress and
generate status reports. Further, a Water Observatory has been
created in collaboration with IIT Delhi, providing map-based access
to details of completed Sarovars, including seasonal and monthly
pondage area information. These digital tools strengthen data-
driven monitoring and enhance transparency.
The progress of AmritSarovars is also regularly monitored at
the Central level with a focus on promoting community
participation, establishment of user groups, and facilitation of
livelihood activities and developing the AmritSarovars sites as
vibrant community hubs.
