**Summary:**
Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 2209, answered on August 1, 2025, by the Minister of State in the Ministry of External Affairs, Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh, addresses the establishment of Mobile Passport Centres. The query specifically asks about the launch of the Mobile Passport Centre scheme in Guwahati and the potential extension of the scheme to other tribal-dominated areas like the Bodoland Territorial Region. The Minister's response confirms that a Mobile Passport Van facility has been recently provided at the Regional Passport Office (RPO) Guwahati. This facility aims to increase the RPO's outreach and deliver passport services to remote locations, hilly areas, institutions, and establishments within the jurisdiction of RPO Guwahati.
