Parliament Question: Mobile Towers Installed in Robertsganj

SHRI CHHOTELAL: Will the Minister of COMMUNICATIONS be pleased to state: (a) whether mobile towers have not been installed in several rural areas of Robertsganj Lok Sabha Constituency in Sonbhandra district, causing significant difficulties to the local population in the modern era; and (b) the timeline by which mobile towers are likely to be fully installed across all rural areas in the said Lok Sabha Constituency? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR COMMUNICATIONS AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT (DR. PEMMASANI CHANDRA SEKHAR) (a) to (b) Sir, Government through Digital Bharat Nidhi (DBN) has undertaken several Projects for provision of 4G mobile services in identified uncovered villages/locations across the country including Sonbhandra district, Uttar Pradesh. Under DBN funded Mobile projects, 147 villages/locations have been covered with 4G mobile services through installation of 113 mobile towers in Sonbhandra district, Uttar Pradesh as on 30.06.2026. Further, as on 30.06.2026, the mobile coverage status of villages in Robertsganj Lok Sabha Constituency in Uttar Pradesh state, based on the Registrar General of India (RGI) village list, is given below.
