Parliament Question: MSEs in Border Districts of Rajasthan

SHRI UMMEDA RAM BENIWAL: Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state: (a) the number of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) formally registered under the Udyam Registration Portal in Barmer district of Rajasthan; and (b) whether the Government has assessed the gap between registered and unregistered enterprises in desert and border districts of the State and if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a): The number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) registered on the Udyam Registration Portal (URP) and Udyam Assist Platform (UAP) as on 31.07.2026 in the district of Barmer in Rajasthan is 1,13,577. (b): The Ministry of MSME launched the URP on 01.07.2020 and UAP on 11.01.2023 to facilitate ease of registration for MSMEs. The number of MSMEs registered on URP and UAP in the border districts of Rajasthan which include Barmer, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Sri Ganganagar as on 31.07.2026 is 5,27,545. *****
