Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) registered under the Udyam
Registration portal in the State of Chhattisgarh and the number of such enterprises located in
backward and tribal-dominated districts such as Mahasamund, Gariaband and Dhamtari, district-wise;
(b) the number of enterprises in the State of Chhattisgarh that have availed investment incentives
such as registration-production, electricity duty/Mandi tax exemption under the Chhattisgarh
Industrial Policy 2024-29; and
(c) whether the central schemes implemented by the Government to bridge the MSME credit gap,
including the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Exports (CGSE), have reached entrepreneurs in the State
of Chhattisgarh in an extensive manner being faced in this regard, if so, the details thereof and the
challenges?

(a): A revised definition based on the twin criteria of investment and turnover, was adopted to
define Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in 2020. Accordingly, for registration of
enterprise having PAN Udyam Registration Portal (URP) was launchedon 01.07.2020. To formalise
Informal Micro Enterprises (IMEs) i.e. Enterprises which are exempt from filing GST, Udyam Assist
Platform (UAP) was launched on 11.01.2023.
As on 30.11.2025, in the State of Chhattisgarh total 12,43,824 Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises have been registered, the district wise details of the MSMEs are registered including the
backward districts are attached at Annexure-I
(b): As informed by the Directorate of Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh, 956 enterprises
have availed the incentives in the state of Chhattisgarh under the Industrial Development Policy
2024-30, the details are given at Annexure-II.
(c): To bridge the MSME credit gap, Government implements various schemes some of the
significant schemes of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises that extends credit support
to MSMEs across country including Chhattisgarh are as under:
(i) Prime Ministers Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) is a credit-inked
subsidyprogramme aimed at generating self-employment opportunities through establishment
of micro-enterprises in the non-farm sector.
(ii) Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for MSE (CGTMSE) provides guarantee for credit to micro and
small Enterprises (MSE).
(iii) Public Procurement Policy (PPP) mandates that Central Ministry /Department / PSUs procure
at least 25% of their annual procurement from MSE.
Other Central Ministries/Departments also extend credit support to MSMEs through their Schemes
like Credit Guarantee Scheme for exporters (CGSE) for additional Collateral free 20% working
capital limits, PM Mudra Yojana (PMMY), Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro food Processing
enterprises, Prime Minister Vishwakarma etc across the country including Chhattisgarh.
