SHRI PATEL UMESHBHAI BABUBHAI: Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state: (a) the number of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) established in Daman and Diu during the last ten years, year-wise; (b) the total number and the value of loans sanctioned under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme for new enterprises in Daman and Diu; (c) the number of manufacturing and service MSMEs in Daman and Diu that have been benefited under the Union Government’s interest subvention schemes during the last ten years, year-wise; and (d) the share of the MSMEs sector in the local economy of Daman and Diu? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a) to (d): Udyam Registration Portal was launched on 01.07.2020. The Scheme offers 2% interest subvention for all Udyog Aadhar Number (UAN) and GST registered MSMEs on fresh or incremental loans to the extent of Rs. 100 lakh. The Scheme aims at encouraging both manufacturing and service enterprises (including trading activities) to increase their productivity. MSMEs already availing interest subvention under any of the Schemes of the State /Central Govt. are also not eligible under the Scheme The scheme was valid till 31.03.2021.
